Radiant Pearls

Radiant Pearls are a wonderful, sparkly, transparent paint. No mixing and they wash up with water. They are one of my favorite media. I'm always on the lookout for good samples. If you have something you'd like to contribute please email me and we'll arrange it.

Mayan Calendar

Stamp Credit: Toybox

Notes: Technique is the same as below where I brushed the stamped and embossed image with bleach and then painted with Radiant Pearls. Click here to see a larger picture so that you can see all the detail painting that was done.

Notes: The woman was stamped on wet Paper Clay using a permanent ink. After she was dry she was painted with the Radiant Pearls and the dye ink was sponged around the outside of the image.

Notes: The tiger was created with the same technique used on the Kokopelli card above. Note how the bleach took the color out of the paper unevenly so there are a lot of variations of color besides those added by the Radiant Pearls.

Fuscia image was stamped and embossed twice onto some ivory colored card stock.

The main image is painted with radiant pearls. Also one calyx and two leaves are painted and then embossed in
clear. These  were cut out to layer onto the card with half of a pop dot.

Before layering the background was blended with Blueberry  Bliss.

The card was then layered onto blue cardstock.

Stamp: Personal Stamp Exchange

Note: The image was stamped with black pigment ink on black paper and embossed using black powder. It was then "detail painted" with Radiant Pearls. To make the Bird of Paradise appear to float above the background I then used Evo Templates to draw squares "behind" the image and painted them using the neutral Radiant Pearl colors. When I was all finished painting, I embossed the entire card with clear embossing powder.

Notes: The gardenia was stamped using black pigment ink and embossed with black powder. The image was then detail painted with Radiant Pearls, dipped in clear embossing powder and then heated. A synthetic sponge was dipped in bleach and blotted lightly over entire piece of cardstock and then when it was dry, Radiant Pearls were stippled over the entire image. The background was created the same way. The perfect squares were obtained by cutting around Evo Templates.

Stamp Credits: Pots from Magenta, Poem from Appalachian Art Stamps (author: Christine Cox), Kokopelli unknown

Notes: The pots were stamped on black matte cardstock with pigment ink, then embossed as usual. A paintbrush was used to spread bleach over all parts of the image inside the embossed lines. Radiant Pearls were then used to paint the parts of the images. The Kokopelli was stamped in permanent ink and then painted with Radiant Pearls and then sealed with a spray glaze fixative.
